Effective immediately, Bank of Eufaula will be blocking all foreign transactions involving your check card. This is due to the increased volume of card information breaches attributable to circumstance beyond the Bank's control. This measure is for your protection. If you will be traveling out of the country, please contact the Bank at 918-689-7732 prior to your departure in order to make arrangements so you will be able to use your check card on your trip. ***SAVINGS BOND UPDATE***
Starting January 1, 2012, you will no longer able to walk into a financial institution and purchase a paper saving bond. You can only purchase series EE or I bonds through the Treasury website or via your tax return. The website is www.treasurydirect.gov.
NOTICE OF EXPIRATION OF THE TEMPORARY FULL FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR NONINTEREST-BEARING TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor’s accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.
